I grew up in Sandwich, attended its school system and graduated in 1977. I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and spent four years in the service as a Security Policeman working a Minuteman missile base in Missouri for three years. Prior to serving overseas I met my future wife on a blind date while on leave. My last year in the U.S. Air Force was spent serving in Turkey and I came back with a greater appreciation of my country and an interest in other cultures and ethnicities. I attended Western Illinois University in Macomb and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 1985. I did an internship for WMAQ TV/Channel 5 in the fall of 1985 and following that stint I began work at the Sandwich Pizza Hut until I was hired on at WSPY in the spring of that year and began working as a part timer. I was offered the morning show host position in December of 1986, and am now the host of both The Noon Show and The Home Stretch Show. Additionally, I was given a promotion to WSPY / WSQR Operations Manager. My wife, Colanne, and I have been married for 12 years and we have a pet cat named Popcorn.
